Stoller Hall residency
Manchester's newest music venue, the award-winning Stoller Hall, welcomed me in as Instagrammer in Residence for their Russian October festival in 2017. I attended recitals, rehearsals, readings, and a play, and got to know the fantastic front of house staff, backstage staff, and some of the performers taking part. I learnt a ton about Russian music, the revolution, and what goes in to making live music performances happen.

Organised by Visit Manchester, the ‘Worker Bee Weekender’ in July 2017 welcomed over 70 bloggers, photographers and journalists for a series of tastings, behind the scenes tours, and special events across two days to showcase the best of the city. I was invited to be one of the local Instagrammers helping to host the visitors, and one of the things I enjoyed most (apart from showing off the city) was finding out more about some of the visitors on the trip.

The part of London between Old Street and Whitechapel is the sort of place I could take pictures all day long. There’s so much to feast the eyes on: incredible architecture, arresting street art, smart and shabby shops, local character, bags of colour. It’s the way that all these things rub up against each other that makes for an interesting walk.
City of Sport instagram takeover
In October 2016 I was invited to takeover Manchester City Council’s Instagram account for a week. My chosen theme was the city’s sporting venues, and the people who hang out in them and bring them to life. Over the course of five days I visited five different sporting venues - from cycling to speedway.
